Nicole Ganzekaufer CCCE, CD (DONA), CLC
Nicole Ganzekaufer is a certified cooperative childbirth educator, DONA certified birth doula and a certified lactation counselor, she was trained as an assistant midwife by Ina May Gaskin and the Farm midwives, and is also certified in neonatal resuscitation and infant/child/adult CPR. Nicole also serves as the Director of the NYC Doula Collective and as a mentor to newer doulas. She holds bachelor’s in sociology and anthropology, and a master’s in nonprofit management. Prior to her work in the NYC birth community, Nicole spent over a decade working in international and community development, with a focus on women’s issues. Through her education and work Nicole has specialized on issues including community development, gender, health and housing policy. Since the birth of her first child in 2010, Nicole has shifted her focus to the practices and policies surrounding women’s health care locally and internationally, and to the experiences of motherhood and birth. Nicole serves as the Member-at-Large, TCP, on the Board of Directors for CEA/MNY.
